Monterey County Government Center: Transforming Civic Infrastructure
The Monterey County Government Center project in Salinas, California, included the development of a new 140,000 square-foot administration building, as well as the renovation of a 97,000 square-foot courthouse building and a 70,000 square-foot county office building. The planning process involved meticulous coordination with PG&E to secure utility services for the campus, while also segregating services for the courthouse to accommodate potential future acquisition by the State of California. Additionally, considering budget limitations, a phased renovation approach was adopted for the courthouse, ensuring the uninterrupted operation of its HVAC system throughout the remodeling process.
