AlfaTech provided mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering design services for the innovative tenant improvements at Okta’s 13th-floor office. This project blends state-of-the-art sustainability, wellness-focused engineering, and cutting-edge interior design to create a dynamic and engaging workspace.

The space features a variety of thoughtfully designed environments that foster creativity, collaboration, and community. Highlights include:

  • Makerspace/Creative Hub: A vibrant area designed to inspire employee innovation and creativity.

  • R&D Space & Dynamic Work Test Lab: Forward-thinking spaces for research, development, and testing new workplace concepts.

  • Employee Experience Center & WFH Store Demo Space: Enabling a seamless work-from-home experience through live demonstrations.

  • Indoor Walking Tracks: Promoting employee wellness with opportunities for physical activity throughout the day.

  • Visual Connection to Salesforce Park: Leveraging natural light and external views to enhance the office ambiance and employee well-being.

The Common Floor is a cultural and innovative centerpiece, consciously curated to reflect the unique vibrancy of San Francisco's iconic neighborhoods. Key features include:

  • Ferry Building Dining Room: A communal dining area inspired by one of San Francisco’s most cherished landmarks.

  • Cable Car Pop-Up Retail: A nod to the city’s historic cable cars, hosting a rotating showcase of products and ideas.

  • Conservatory of Flowers Mini-Golf & Craft Area: A playful and creative space designed for social engagement and team bonding.

  • Okta-torium & Castro Theatre Screening Room: Multifunctional spaces supporting everything from presentations to entertainment.

Innovation in Design
The design incorporates in-house murals, custom signage, and environmental graphics that reflect Okta’s culture and brand identity. Bespoke furniture, sustainable lighting, and interior landscaping further elevate the space. The boardroom is a standout feature, doubling as an AV-equipped meeting space and a tech-free dining room to support diverse needs.
